I'm not a huge fan of Beck, not because I don't think he's any good, in fact quite the opposite, but his music never really spoke to me. However, I thought this was a really interesting short interview about his process for the track, and how important it is to lean into influences and the things that make your music uniquely your own:

I'm going to try to approach this from a couple of different ways until I can fine tune it but the daw audio sharing during the session is something i definitely will have fixed. @​samuraitracks It does look pretty amazing and the potential really does look endless. The only thing that puts me off, and this is for any "synth" in general, is the learning curve. When I was younger I would have happily spent weeks figuring this thing out but as I get older, I just dont have that kind off time or patience any more. I just want something simple and if I cant figure it out in 5 minutes, I'm done

YT feed has been on fire this morning. Got served this video and it's evident, to me at least, that it's traditional 3D with post processing.  It's really quite beautiful and well done. Bitwig has modulation options built into everything but I prefer a dedicated plugin like Midishaper for that. Might have to try that out

@​samuraitracks  Val, I have to say, out of the 5 producers I've worked with so far, you are the one that has really REALLY got it. I think part of that is you're letting yourself trust the process. You even said something just now that tells me you're there... "Had to remove a full drone/pad that I thought didn't add much". That's what I'm talking about, you're trusting yourself enough to feel your way through the track, and know when something doesn't feel right or add to it. Its such a tough thing to do for so many producers and you're letting the track tell you what it needs. Pat yourself on the back my man, thats HUGE! ️  As far as naming the tracks, I'll let you decide that. Whatever you feel works best is perfect. Btw, I'm only working on the 134mix today, just want your thoughts on the final mix and make sure you're happy with it before we do the Emergency landing on next. Also, I want to talk to you a bit about the artwork in our next session. I have some thoughts and ideas so we can coordinate with the final release. Dude, I'm so proud of the work you've done. Seriously, it brings absolute joy to me to hear these tracks. You put in the work and I can hear it, they sound AMAZING!

@​samuraitracks Man, I didnt even know Samplephonics was still around. I remember they used to release a ton of really great libraries. Big Fish as well... Bill Laswell had a ton of sample libraries released through them that I used to use... sort of leftfield, found sound, tribal percussion stuff that was really different. These are the two producers I was telling you about.  Modal is a friend of mine and he just released this album.... probably some of the best autonomic dnb released in years. @NUMAflex Felipe!!! Dude, what an unexpected surprise!  Really enjoyed our session and thank you so much for reaching out! Just to follow up on a few things that we talked about, this next week take some time to go through any projects you feel would work as a release making sure its music you've made and not a remix or by another producer. Again, you can do a single or 2 track ep, whichever you feel comfortable with. I normally suggest working on 1 maybe 2 max just so you can have enough time to put your all into each track. This will help establish a good routine so that the next tracks wont be as difficult. Once you have those picked out, feel free to send them to me during the week so I can listen and make notes, or we can do that in our next session, whatever you prefer.  Apart from that, feel free to send me anything or post about anything you'd like to discuss if you have any questions. @​samuraitracks This is probably my favorite production video of all time. So much useful information here, well worth a full watch. But specifically, check out what he says starting at 7:24 when he talks about keeping things simple. Also check out what he says at 23:25 regarding mixing, so counterintuitive to what we're used to hearing about eq and mixing but if you've ever heard MJ Cole's work its so incredibly well produced and still sounds fantastic decades later.
