<![CDATA[Roland S-770]]>Was this the one you were talking about? Ive owned a few dedicated sampler in my days but never a Roland sampler. The XV5080 I owned was the closest, it wasnt a tradition sampler in that you could record into and edit/chop things but you could load sample into it like the Blofeld and it sounded really nice. Thats always something Roland got right, all their boxes sounded great.

Yeah thats the last rack unit Roland ever made, basically every single SR and XV expansion for the JV and XV synths. Instead of individual expansion cards, they put them all into one unit. Its basically a giant rompler on steroids. You can even upload Roland compatible waveforms into it (I have all the original 303, 808, 909 and D50 waveforms loaded into it atm). It's pretty insane and my most used rack next to the Motif. If you've ever used Zenology, its basically that in hardware.
