Hi Val, I have some info for you about setting up your Bandcamp account with multiple aliases. It's pretty straight forward and they have it built in to their system:

First, you want to go through the artist menu where you can select "add more artists," and those artists or "aliases" get added to the artists pane on your settings page. Here you can switch between each alias page, profile, tools, and stats pages. So basically one main artist login that handles multiple alias bc pages, each with their own name/identity. It's not necessary to create a new account for each alias, although some people prefer separate accounts / logins for cleaner separation. For me, I just use one main account to handle my aymat and latent forms pages. Either works, it's a matter of taste.

For connecting your aliases to Latent Forms, there's nothing you need to do. I do that through the Latent Forms label page that hosts the release, and your alias gets credit/link-back in the release notes. and you handle the split manually on the back end.

One practical note, I think its easier to set up separate aliases under one account, and have them all tied to the same PayPal account (its just simpler to manage and for bookkeeping). You do have to set up either a Paypal or Stripe account with Bandcamp for transferring funds from purchases, so if you don't have one you'll need to set one up first. Let me know if you need any help with any of this and we can schedule a quick call.

Let me know as soon as you have the Bandcamp page set up so I can start organizing the release - J

Ah sorry man, for some reason I remembered it as "add more artists", its actually called "Connected Accounts". So if you go to Settings, Connected Accounts, thats where you can add additional accounts.

aymat

Reply to Setting up Bandcamp with multiple aliases on Fri, 26 Jun 2026 12:51:43 GMT

I've been trying to do this for the last 30 minutes... it seems I can't There's no "add more artists" nor artist menu. I even checked the help and documentation pages but nothing.

It's ok though. I set up this one:

https://houseofforgottentapes.bandcamp.com/

and we can just change "ARTIST NAME" on each release when needed. Less hassle as well. Maybe I need the pro feature? No idea, but I've tried every setting page or dropdown menu lol. Again, not a big deal, since I just remembered while doing it that we can use a custom artist name on each release
